Situated in the stables of the beautiful 16th century Castell Farm, in the heart of the Norfolk countryside are the East India Trading Depot showrooms, packed with the best display of rugs and carpets from Afghanistan and Persia in the area. Jostling for space with the rugs are many exquisite textiles and antiques from around the world.
Over the last 20 years, East India Trading Depot has become a mecca for people wanting beautiful objects for their houses and a welcome change from the pushy pressured high street.
The owners, Mal & Liz Cannell believe that being surrounded by rich colours and beautiful objects enriches and stimulates life immeasurably and should not only be for the very rich.
This huge source of artifacts is well known and used by interior designers and antique dealers alike and is also open to the public.
